| The
Reiki Principles
Just for today, I will not be angry.
Just for today, I will not worry.
Just for today, I will give thanks for my many blessings.
Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
Just for today, I will be kind to everything that has life
The word
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is made of two Japanese words – Rei, which means
“Gods Wisdom or the Higher Power”, and Ki , which means “life force energy”.
This energy is known by many names. “Prana” in India,
“Ruach” in Hebrew, “Chi” in China,
and there are many more. So Reiki is actually spiritually or divinely
guided life force energy. We know that the universe - the space around us
- is filled with endless and inexhaustible energy. Reiki is a method of
using the ancient art of laying on of hands to channel this natural healing
energy in a powerful and concentrated way to increase and balance life force
energy to allow for emotional, spiritual and/or physical healing.
Reiki
is simple, natural and safe. Anyone and everyone can be trained to give Reiki,
or Love to another. Reiki has been known to be effective in helping to
treat virtually every dis-ease, illness and malady. Reiki is compatible
with all traditional medical or therapeutic methods to promote healing and relieve
side effects.

What is a Reiki Treatment?
|
A
Reiki treatment may be given in a chair, a bed or on a massage table. The client
remains fully clothed and usually is given a soft blanket for comfort.
Soft music, candles, incense, flowers and or crystals, though not
necessary for the Reiki energy to flow, may be used as tools for relaxation and
to help create a soothing atmosphere. Treatments are usually 1 hour long
but this varies depending on the individual needs of each client. I have
found that someone with many complicated problems may require more time,
someone with a minor problem may be a little quicker, children and pets seem to
respond very quickly and require less time.
During the
treatment the practitioner, someone who has been “attuned”, will gently lay
hands on the client beginning at the head and gradually working down the body
using the “Chakras” or energy centers of the body as a guide. There may
be varying sensations in the hands of the practitioner, warm, hot, cold,
tingling or no sensation at all. Since the energy flow is Spirit
directed, it cannot be given in a way to do harm and cannot be done “wrong”.

Who Can Learn to Practice Reiki?
|
Reiki has been taught all over the world
to thousands of people from all different backgrounds. Some research into
ancient practice suggests that this was actually taught to Reiki Master. An “attunement” is a
combination of hand motions and breath-work and physical control that has a
profound effect. Those who have experienced this describe it as “a
miracle” or “life-changing”. No one seems to know how or why the Reiki
“attunement” has such an effect, only that it does. Reiki “attunements”
open, expand and clear the channels of energy for the practitioner. The
attunement is the difference between other touch healing systems and Reiki.
Both those who pass them and those who receive them are totally in awe of them.
In the life force energy of
Reiki – the person who is attuned as a Reiki healer has had her (or his) energy
channels, or chakras opened and cleared of obstructions by the Reiki
attunements. She now not only receives an increase in this life energy
for her own healing, but becomes connected to the Source of all universal chi
or ki. I have heard the Source referred to as the Creator, God, the
Goddess, the Universe the higher self and the holy spirit. I like to
think of this life force energy as the Divine, which I believe connects to us
and connects us all to each other, to the planet and to our entire universe.
An amazingly
simple technique to learn, the ability to become a Reiki practitioner is passed
on through a class providing the basic history and hand techniques but more
importantly, thru an “attunement” given by the Reiki Master.

What is the Difference Between Shamballa and Usui Reiki?
|
Many ask
what is the difference between Shamballa and Usui Reiki. Usui Reiki
follows the teaching of Mikao Usui. Shamballa Energy was used during the
Atlantean days and has been returned to us by the Ascended Master St. Germain,
to aide humanity and our planet, Earth.
Shamballa
Multi-Dimensional Healing moves beyond traditional Reiki. It is a very
spiritual adventure that is life changing. You become connected to
Universal Source and the Angelic Realms. Many report interaction with
Spirit, with Christ, Mary and Archangel Michael after their attunements.
I felt immediately connected to St. Francis after my first attunement,
and during my second attunement received Archangels Michael, Uriel, Ariel and
Raphael as my own “healing team” to assist me in my healing work. Kwan
Yin, St. Germaine, Ascended Masters and personal spirit guides often manifest
by making their presence known or felt in classes and attunements.
Shamballa
like Usui Reiki is not a religion. There is a difference between being
spiritual and being religious. Once a person has been introduced to the
subtle energy of Shamballa, a door opens that will lead to profound learning
and aide in accessing the Spirit within.
In
Shamballa Multi-Dimensional Healing, you will experience healing of many
aspects of yourself, in many different dimensions. You will be able to open a door to the inner
quest that will lead to profound learning, find a deeper connection to Source,
inspiration for your journey and empower you to follow a path that speaks to
your heart. Everyone’s experience has always been absolutely wonderful.
It may be a quiet peaceful experience or it may be joyful and ecstatic.
It may be immediate or it may take time to feel the shift of energy.
Once you are attuned, you are attuned for life and you are never the
same.
